Technical Specification

Size
DDCouplings are available in sizes from 3/4" (DN20) to 6" (DN150) with BSP thread. NPT threads on request.
The tank units are also available in flanged units.

Material
Available in aluminium, brass/gunmetal, stainless steel and for extreme conditions Hastelloy C-276 or different kinds of composite materials.

Sealing
FPM: can be used for many oxidising acids, petroleum oils, halogenated hydrocarbons, lubricants, hydraulic fluids or organic liquids.
EPDM: can be used for a variety of chemicals such as dilute acids and most ketones and alcohols.
Chemraz and Kalrez: sealings resist attack by nearly all chemical reagents including inorganic and organic acids, alkalines, ketones, esters, aldehyds, alcohols and fuels.

The schematic diagram shows the coupling in both opened and closed position

Dry Disconnect

The Coupling Function
Turn the hose unit/coupler 15° clockwise on the tank unit/adapter and the units are locked together.

When the hose unit/coupler is turned further to the stop (100°) the piston valves are opened and the medium flow through freely.

To close the piston valves and disconnect, you make a similar turn counter clockwise with the hose unit/coupler.

When the piston valves are closed all flow is stopped and you can disconnect without any fluid spill.

The piston valves are locked in this position.

Working pressure
150 psi (PN 10)

Interchangeable
The KLAW Dry Disconnect is fully interchangeable.

Selectivety
Each unit has a number of selective positions, to avoid product contamination caused by connecting a hose unit to the wrong tank.
